升级VMWARE中REDHAT AS4内核

1.从ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/updates/enterprise/4AS/en/os/SRPMS/上下载

kernel-2.6.9-42.EL.src.rpm

2启动REDHAT AS4的ftp功能

#find /etc -name vsftpd

#/etc/rc.d/init.d/vsftpd start

3、将kernel-2.6.9-42.EL.src.rpm  FTP至redhat上

4、rpmbuild --rebuild --target=i686 kernel-2.6.9-42.EL.src.rpm

5\全部编译完毕,编译好的rpm文件都在/usr/src/redhat/i686目录下了,用
rpm -Fvh xxx.rpm来安装即可
